This is the time of year when events are coming in rapid succession. One of the biggest school events is Open House. This is the special evening when parents and children come to school to see all of the work, projects and art that the children have been working on during the year. It is very important to children because it is a time when they can proudly show their work to their families. It is a time to see the classroom, school garden, science room and computer lab. It is a time for parents and children to explore other classrooms and get a peek at what is to come next year and a time for younger siblings to get a taste of their future.
Open House is a time to honor the hard work your children have done and to note their accomplishments. Children are thrilled to have the opportunity to proudly show off. Take the time to attend, talk with your child about their work and to make a big fuss over all they have done this school year!
