Presentations
Currently I offer presentations in:
Developmentally Appropriate Practices: provide experiences that will engage learners at their learning level.
Setting Up Transitional Kindergarten Programs: This successful workshop was presented at conferences last year to rave reviews. I will cover the philosophy and practicality of setting up a classroom that will meet the very special needs of our youngest elementary school students.
Integrating Yoga and Meditation into the Classroom: I have been using yoga in my classroom for the past 7 years and have witnessed the transformative affect a classroom yoga practice can have on children of all ages. When children practice yoga together they gain respect for each other, the ability to calm themselves and enjoy a physical release through gentle bends and stretches that allow productive classroom work to occur.
Classroom Organization: An organized classroom can bring peace of mind to both the teacher and the children by providing predictability, familiarity and comfort to the classroom family.
Utilizing the Outdoor Classroom Philosophy to Enhance Instruction: Adding an outdoor classroom program will enhance instruction and peek children’s natural curiosity. I can show you how to add this to your classroom routine, create fun learning centers outdoors and ways to involve parents in the process.
These presentations can be tailored to individual schools for staff professional developments and for parent groups. The presentations are also available for professional organizations and conferences.
